This butterfly has a broad yellow band
on each wing, with blue marks and orange “eye spots” on its hind wings. It
gets its name from the “tails” on its wings that look like the forked tail
of a Barn Swallow in flight. When it is a black and yellow caterpillar, it
eats the leaves of the Anise plant. |
