Banana Slug Ariolimax columbianus |
Banana Slugs are about 4 inches long. They can be bright yellow, or dull with black spots. Their eyes are on stalks that stick out from their head. Some slugs eat bitter-tasting plants, and that makes the slug’s body taste bad to birds. Banana slugs don’t have to eat bitter plants — they already taste terrible. If a bird starts to eat a Banana Slug, it will spit out the slug very fast and try to clean off its bill to get rid of the awful taste. |
