The Otter is the only marine mammal who uses a tool. That tool is a rock. The Otter uses it to bash open the shells of crabs and clams for its dinner. Then it lies back in the water and uses its stomach for a table, feeding itself with its paws.
  
Otters do not have the layer of blubber that all other marine mammals have. But they have the thickest fur of any animal in the world. Their fur has 1 million hairs per square inch. (You only have about 100,000 hairs on your whole head.)
