Pseudomonas is one kind of bacteria found in the soil. Bacteria recycle dead plants and animals by turning them into minerals and nutrients that plants can use. This is called decomposing. Bacteria are the champion decomposers of the world. They live in the ocean, in the air and on land. They are among the smallest forms of life on earth, so you can only see them with a microscope.
