Pacific Chorus Frog Pseudacris regilla |
This is one of our smallest amphibians, only two inches long. It is also called a Pacific Treefrog. On summer evenings, the male’s song fills the air. You’ll know this frog by the black stripe through the eye to the shoulder. It can be brown, tan, grey or green. It is native to our area, and is being crowded out by the Bullfrog, a non-native. It is eaten by Bullfrogs, snakes, raccoons, shorebirds, hawks and ducks. |
