Pacific White-sided Dolphins swim together in groups called pods. When the pods combine they are called herds. The dolphins communicate with each other in high-pitched squeaks, clicks and whistles. Each dolphin has its own sound that it uses to keep in touch with its family in the pod. Dolphins eat fish and squid. They are preyed up on by sharks and killer whales. |
