This Copepod is a microscopic animal that drifts with the ocean currents. There are other tiny animals that drift, like the larvae of crabs, fish and crustaceans. All of these animals are called Zooplankton.

Zooplankton provides food for everything in the ocean, from small crustaceans to large whales. All these animals either eat Zooplankton, or they feed on an animal that has eaten it.
